It should never be a trader's main motivation as to make $$. This is especially detrimental to beginner traders. As any new trader, your focus needs to be on developing trading mentality and skill. Your main job is to find a trading strategy that works consistently for you. You should never judge your performance by p/l every day. Rather, you need to focus on: "what did I learn today from my losses?", "how have I improved on my skill/mental structure?" it is by painstakingly planting these seeds one by one and day by day that ultimately determines your success as a trader. Ultimately, the $$/ the harvest will follow.
