Start with the assumption that it will be a range day. Market MUST PROVE it has broken into a trend by breakouts/downs. WATCH FOR IMPULSE MOVES that signals new direction. But be objective throughout the sesssion.
Trend days have an arc to them, even the most powerful. The most powerful move comes in the morning. then flat lining during noon time, then go again in the last afternoon.
Look to relative volume to the recent past days. Morning volume vs. yesterday's volume, etc.
Tick can lead you before the breakout/down.
These are just concepts, but YOU HAVE TO ADAPT OR DIE.
